Piazza is a free web application intended to create a space for instructors, teaching assistants, and students to facilitate a collaborative learning environment. From the Piazza interface, instructors can answer student questions, endorse student answers, and edit or delete content.
- Click the gear menu, and then click Turn editing on
- Choose the topic block to which you would like to add your Piazza Module
- Click Add an activity or resource
- Choose External Tool from the list of options

- Choose Piazza from the Preconfigured Tool optionĀ

- Name the Piazza Module, and Save.
- Click the module link that was created to open a new tab to complete the Piazza set-up process.
- The term, instructor, course name and course number should be auto-populated on this page.
- You will be prompted to create a password to login to Piazza (if you do not already have an account). Click [continue] to proceed.
- Enter your estimated enrollment, and click [Create New Piazza Class] to create your class Piazza.
Accessing Piazza
- Piazza is accessible through a course page on Moodle or using the Piazza iOS/Android Mobile App.
For students to self-enroll in course Piazza:
- Select the Piazza module in the course Moodle page to open a new tab to complete the set-up process.
- They will be prompted to create a password to login to Piazza (if they do not already have an account).
