If the Windows 7 computer you want to connect to Samba was provided to you by Lafayette College and you need to access Samba from off campus, then you should read this document. In other words, this document describes how to connect a Windows 7 computer, which is a member of Lafayette's Domain (see the FAQ What is a Samba Domain?), to a Lafayette Samba share while not on the campus network.
