IT Services for Alumni
As a Lafayette alumnus or alumna, you have a lifetime relationship with the College and your peers, and ITS provides access to certain IT resources.
Q: I am an alumnus/alumna; what is my Network ID?
A: Network IDs exist for most of the college's alumni. If you aren't sure what your Network ID is, contact the Alumni Relations office at 610-330-5040 or 800-Lafayette (outside of PA) or by emailing email@example.com
Q: I'm a recent graduate and I remember my Network ID and password. Can I still use those?
A: Beginning with the class of 2010, Network ID’s were not disabled so if you remember your credentials, they should still work. You can use the password utility to manage your account by changing your password, updating your alternate email address or resetting a forgotten password.
Q: I am an alumnus/alumna; how do I set my password?
A: The password utility includes a feature that lets you reset a forgotten password. As long as you know your Network ID, you can have a reset link sent to your alternate email address that is on file. The reset link is good for 2 hours, and allows you to change your password to a strong password you provide.
Q: I seem to have a technical issue with my account, who can I contact?
A: You can contact the Lafayette IT help desk for assistance with your account by calling 610-330-5501.
Q: As an alumnus/alumna, what does my Lafayette Network ID give me access to?
A: Your Lafayette Network ID gives you access to the Alumni Portal, wireless Internet and lab computers on campus, LeopardLink (the alumni online network), career opportunities for alumni, JSTOR, and Loeb Classical Library Also if you’re involved with volunteer opportunities, committees or serve as a chapter secretary you will have additional access to participate on web sites in Spaces or Community.

Q: What is the Alumni Portal?
A: The Alumni Portal is a web page of links offering access to a wide variety of services available to alumni both on and off-campus. Once logged in through the portal, alumni can access their Banner Self-Service profile, JSTOR, LeopardLink, access to alumni benefits, career services tools for alumni, tickets to events at the Williams Center, class notes, and more.
Q: Does my Lafayette Network ID give me access to email?
A: No, your Network ID does not allow you to have an @lafayette.edu email account, but all alumni can opt to use an @alumni.lafayette.edu mail forwarding address. This email address, which will be your NetworkID @alumni.lafayette.edu, allows you to use one email address for distribution on resumes, business cards, networking site, etc., while receiving the actual messages at an email address of your choosing.

Q: What is community.lafayette.edu and is that the same as the LeopardLink?
A: Lafayette's class and regional chapter web sites have been hosted at community.lafayette.edu since Summer 2011. Alumni secretaries and web administrators will continue to have access to edit and update their class and chapter sites using their Network ID and password.
LeopardLink is a dynamic online community for alumni that allows them to search for and connect with other alumni, update personal profile information, submit (and search) class notes and photos, and register for events.
