Faculty

If you are unable to find a Moodle course in which you are the instructor:

  • Examine the configuration of your Moodle Dashboard to ensure you can see future courses or In Progress courses if the semester has started.
  • Check Banner Self-Service to ensure the course is listed.
    • If the course is listed in Banner Self-Service and not in Moodle, wait one day for Banner and Moodle to sync. If it still doesn’t show in Moodle the following day, contact the Help Desk at help@lafayette.edu.
    • If the course is not listed in Banner Self-Service, contact your department head/program chair to ensure the Registrar lists you as the instructor of record in Banner.

If you are able to see your course in Moodle, but your students say they cannot view the course:

  • Make sure the course is visible. If the course is greyed out in the course list, then that means it is hidden from students. See Making Your Moodle Course Available.
  • If the course is visible, but a particular student cannot see the course, their Add/Drop request is likely still being processed by the Registrar’s Office.

Students

If you are unable to find a course in which you are enrolled as a student:

  • Examine the configuration of your Moodle Dashboard to ensure you can see future courses or In Progress courses if the semester has started.
  • If you are auditing the course, speak to your instructor about being manually added to the course.
  • If you have recently added the course, it is likely still being processed by the Registrar’s Office.  If immediate access is needed, speak to your instructor about being manually added to the course.
