How do I learn about technology to do my job?
ITS offers a variety of opportunities to learn about technology:
- Workshops, Trainings and Communities of Practice: ITS offers monthly training sessions on tools like Google Workspace, Moodle, WordPress, project management, and more. These sessions are led by experienced professionals who can answer your specific questions and guide you on using the latest features.
- One-on-One Support: Contact ITS via help@lafayette.edu to set up a consultation for hands-on help troubleshooting or to learn new skills.
- Specialized Resources: Need help creating a short video tutorial or a complex survey? ITS often provides access to written help documentation and video tutorials to assist you.

How do I schedule training for my team?
ITS provides individual and group training to support teaching, learning, and administrative tasks at Lafayette. Those who are interested in group training can submit a Help Desk ticket with the following information:
- Name of your department/program
- Name of the tool(s) you’d like group training on
- Available dates/times that work for the group
- Preference for in-person or virtual training
How do I get the most online technology resources in one place?
ITS maintains and continuously updates the ITS Help website which provides written help documentation on many College services as well as video tutorials.

How do I make a short training video?
Panopto, the College’s solution for streaming and storing media, provides a wealth of short video tutorials to get you started on your video journey. In addition, ITS maintains a video podcast studio in the basement of Skillman Library to give your content a professional, polished look.
