Frequently Asked Questions
What is my Lafayette NetID?
NetIDs exist for most Lafayette alumni. If you aren’t sure what your NetID is, please contact Alumni Engagement at 610-330-5040 or alumni@lafayette.edu.
I’m a recent graduate and I know my NetID and password. Can I still use them?
If you remember your credentials, they should still work. You can manage your account by changing your password, updating your recovery email, or resetting a forgotten password.
How do I set my password?
If you know your NetID but not your password, and have a recovery email set to the address of an account you currently use, you can reset your password. You will receive a reset link at your recovery email on record. Following the link allows you to set a new strong password of your choosing. The link is valid for two hours.
If you do not have an up-to-date recovery email set, please contact Alumni Engagement at 610-330-5040 or alumni@lafayette.edu.
I have a technical issue with my account. Can someone help?
Please contact the Help Desk at help@lafayette.edu or (610) 330-5501.
As a Lafayette alum, what services can I access?
Your Lafayette NetID gives you access to the Alumni Portal, wireless internet, library and classroom computers, LeopardLink, HathiTrust Digital Library, JSTOR, and more. ITS maintains a list of services with those available to alumni marked.
If you are involved with alumni volunteer activities, committees, or serve as a chapter secretary, you will have additional access to Spaces sites.
What is the Alumni Portal?
The Alumni Portal is a launching point to a wide variety of services available to alumni. Once logged in to the portal, you can access GatewayLink, LeopardLink, Library resources, including JSTOR and Loeb Classical Library, Parchment for transcript ordering, Athletic and Arts ticketing, class notes, and more.
For more information on how to use and customize the Alumni Portal, please see Using the Campus Portal.
Does my NetID give me access to Lafayette email?
Lafayette email accounts are not offered to alumni. Student email accounts are suspended on February 1 following the year of graduation.
However, you can opt in to the alumni forwarding service that offers you an @alumni.lafayette.edu email forward. This address, which is YourNetID@alumni.lafayette.edu, allows you to use a Lafayette vanity email on resumes, business cards, networking sites, etc., while receiving email sent to it at an address of your choosing.
You can manage your email settings, including the target address at which you want to receive any messages sent to your @alumni.lafayette.edu address.
For more information about the alumni forwarding service, please see the Alumni Email Forwarding FAQ.
