What is changing?

  • Your Username: As ITS migrates computers to the new login experience, you will begin to use your Lafayette email address as your username. Computers that have not migrated will still require using your NetID to log in. Please see the examples below for more information.
  • Fewer Logins: After you sign into a College computer, it will automatically connect to some College websites. This means you will no longer need to type your password again for those websites.

How will I know which log in to use?

Windows computers that have not migrated to the new system will have a background to showcase using your NetID or Email as seen in the example below.

Mac information will be provided in the near future.

When will computers be migrated?

Public Labs and Podium computers will be migrated this summer. Faculty members who are due for computer refreshes this summer will also receive computers that are already part of the new service. Additionally, administrators will migrate during the Fall/Winter computer replacement. ITS will reach out to those who are not getting their computer replaced this year about migrating at a later date.

What to expect next

Later this year, ITS will add more College websites and online services to this new login system.

Do I still need to use Duo?

Yes. You will still use Duo Security to verify your identity.

  1. Type your email and password on the College websites as you have been doing.
  2. Approve the login using Duo, just like you do now.

Tip: ITS still recommends using the Duo Mobile app on your phone. It is the easiest and most reliable way to complete your two-step login.
