The Password Change Utility is a web application that allows you to manage your Lafayette NetID account.

Password reset is enabled by setting an alternate email address on your NetID account. If you forget your Lafayette password, you can be emailed a temporary link to your alternate email address.

What are my Lafayette credentials used for?

Your NetID and password are used for email, the College portal, Moodle, network storage, wireless, Skillman Mac login, and most other protected Web content. A list of systems and their credentials is available on the Help website.

How often do I need to change my Lafayette password?

Lafayette passwords do not expire. However, it is a good practice to change them regularly, such as every three to six months, or anytime you think your NetID account might have been compromised.

How do I change my current password?

If you know your current password, enter your NetID, current password, and a new password in the “Change your NetID Password” form.

What is a strong password?

A strong password is difficult to guess by both a person and a computer. Password strength is increased by including at least eight characters along with mixed-case letters, numbers, and one special character. As you enter a new password, a strength indicator will let you know if the password is strong enough to be used.

You will have two hours to click the link and enter a new password. If you do not complete the reset before the link expires, you will need to repeat the process.
